November

It is already the month of November. Two months had quickly passed and so much had happened and there's so much more to learn in the Grade 3 class.

Last month, we finished our Provincial Assessment and I can say that it went well. I am happy to say that even if the results of their assessment says that they're not there yet, I believe that they're getting there soon.

We are learning so much. In ELA, we are continuously strengthening their alphabetical skills so that they will be ready to learn more complex skills like the finding words in the dictionary and looking for its meaning. We also started Printing practices, to ensure that their printing will be readable, cleaner and clearer. In Spelling, we are now in Unit 8. The words are getting harder but we are slowly getting there.

In Math, we are learning about the 2 digit Addition and Subtraction With and Without Regrouping. It is challenging most especially when we are writing our numbers properly, making sure it is aligned according to its digit.

In Religion, we have finished covering 3 units and we are discussing smaller lessons like Five Finger Prayer, and the ACTS Prayer - Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. Soon, we will celebrate ADVENT.

In Science, we just did our first experiment about plants. Growing seeds with the use of tissue paper acting as soil. I can say that most students get the results that they want. The next experiment that we will probably doing is planting the seeds in real soil. We are learning so much about plants like what is a plant, its plant parts and needs, and its life cycle.

In Social Studies, we learned about Citizenship and being a good citizen. We are now focusing our lesson about Canada by learning the anthem. And soon we will discuss all about Canada.

In Art, we are going to do pretty cool Artworks. Just watched out for it.

Thank you to all the parents who came to our conference. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
