Time is really flying by so fast. 

In the Grade 3 classroom, we are very busy working and learning new things. We have pretty much learned the routine on what to do for each of the subjects. But we are still continuously learning and practicing the routine, until everybody gets it correctly and properly. 

Throughout the end of this month, we might already be having our tests in most of the subjects. Review sheets will be provided for the students so that they know what to review and how to review. 

    In Religion, we are almost done learning about the first Chapter. 

   In Spelling, we are including themed spelling words. Spelling Pre-test is every Monday and the test is Friday. After the Spelling Pre-test, they will be writing down their mistakes 10 times and 5 times during the Spelling Test. 

    In Language Arts, we are learning and mastering the Alphabet and  Dictionary Skills. 

    In Math, we are still continuously focusing our knowledge about the two basic Operations Addition and Subtraction thru a variety of worksheets and daily word problems. We reviewed Addition and Subtraction with and without regrouping. And the next lessons we're going to do is Skip Counting.

    In Science, we are continuously learning about the Life Cycle of Plants, the growth and changes and the Roots. 

    In Social Studies, we are still learning about Canada, its geography, provinces and territories. We will also learn the importance of Canada's national anthem and Remembrance Day. 

    In French, we are learning the Basic French words like colors, greetings, saying or introducing in French, number and other common French words.  We are spelling and pronouncing the words properly. 

    This month, the whole province will be doing a Provincial Assessment in both Mathematics and Reading. Testing in both of these subjects will take place this month as well.

  Goodbye May! Hello June!  Oh my! The month of May went by pretty fast and we didn't even realize that it is now the month of June...and we are now on our last month of the school year 2022-2023.  Where did those precious 9 months of learning go?  Well, the month of May is indeed a pretty busy month. The Grade 3's had been working so hard and busy as a bee. I think that the Grade 3's had grown so much not only physically but in learning too.  Just a short recap -   * In-person Book Fair - It was indeed a success. The grade 3's in particular are excited that the book fair is now in person. We reached our goal and we now have a bunch of new books that the students will for sure enjoy.  * Math Learning Fair - The grade 3's had been preparing for this learning fair. They did a couple of activities.   Happy New Year everyone!  Goodbye 2023! Welcome 2023! The year 2023 just went by so fast. I can still remember when I wrote my September blog - the Grade 3's were just starting the routine in the Grade 3. The continuous work, the tests, printing practices, mad minutes, and all other stuff. Now, four months had passed and the students are still trying to master their routine and they know what are the expectations required from them. I can say that they are indeed trying their best and that is what matters most.  As the new year begins, there will be new lessons, new challenges and of course new expectations. And this year they were told that they need to work double time because in eight months time, they will be in Grade 4.  In ELA, we are doing a lot of dictionary skills, finding words in the dictionary.                                                       HAPPY EARTH DAY!  WHAT IS EARTH DAY?  Earth Day is  an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations . The first Earth Day was held April 22, 1970.  It can be as simple as  teaching them how and what to recycle, replacing plastic bags with reusable tote bags, or only using reusable water bottles . Every time you do something that helps the Earth, involve them and explain exactly what you're doing. LET'S MAKE EVERY DAY EARTH DAY!  HELLO APRIL!  The Grade 3's are making sure that they are learning and doing the best that they can in every task given to them. As we welcome the new season, the Grade 3's are all working  like bees. This last term is very busy. We need to be focused and believed in our strengths.
