June

Wow! It’s hard to believe it is already June and the end of the school year is upon us. With that being

said, we still have a lot of learning and fun activities in the weeks ahead.

In Language Arts we are finishing up our last spelling unit for the year. We have started to learn cursive

writing and will continue to practice our phonics, grammar, reading and writing throughout the month

of June.

In math, we finished up our fractions unit. We will start a short unit on time to end the school year.

In Science, we are learning about different structures and the materials that are used to build them. We

are learning about the different strengths of materials and how you can make a structure stronger by

using different shapes, materials or designs.

In Social Studies, we are looking at different parts of a map and how to read a map. We are learning

about world geography and looking at the different continents and oceans of the world.

In Religion, we just finished up our Month of Mary and ended it with a beautiful service to Crown Our

Mother Mary. We are now looking at the different parts of the mass.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, restful and relaxing summer. It has been a pleasure teaching your

children for the last two years.

Mrs. Shade
