Hello Grade 3! Welcome back to school! 

I am happy and glad that we are back to school! It will definitely be a busy school year ahead of us. We have so much to do and to learn. and let us not forget that we are going to have a lot of fun as well. 

The first 8 days of school is already a busy week for the Grade 3 students. We started getting used to our routines most especially learning be organized with our stuff. It is very important that we take responsibility of everything. 

We are slowly starting our lesson introductions for each subject and so far it is good. We just need to make and follow through with the routine and manage the expectations given. 

In Religion, we are learning about prayer - the five finger prayer, the types of prayer ACTS. 

In Language Arts, we have started with Spelling, practicing how do we answer our spelling homework and do our corrections for the Spelling pre-test and test. We started with our Reading Comprehension Study Cards. Also, we started writing in our journal notebook.

In Math, we are continuously strengthening our knowledge about the two basic operations of Addition and Subtraction. We are doing mad minutes and will be doing a variety of worksheets. We are making sure that we mastered our mental skills. 

In Science, we started with our lesson about Plants. And will continue to know more about its parts and its life cycle. Also, we will learn about its characteristics and its needs to grow. 

In Social Studies, we started learning about Canada and its provinces.

In French, we will be learning the basic concepts like colors, days and months of the year, body parts and greetings in French. 

In Art, we already did our name mosaic and it went pretty well. And it is international dot day, we made something out of a simple dot.

  Goodbye May! Hello June!  Oh my! The month of May went by pretty fast and we didn't even realize that it is now the month of June...and we are now on our last month of the school year 2022-2023.  Where did those precious 9 months of learning go?  Well, the month of May is indeed a pretty busy month. The Grade 3's had been working so hard and busy as a bee. I think that the Grade 3's had grown so much not only physically but in learning too.  Just a short recap -   * In-person Book Fair - It was indeed a success. The grade 3's in particular are excited that the book fair is now in person. We reached our goal and we now have a bunch of new books that the students will for sure enjoy.  * Math Learning Fair - The grade 3's had been preparing for this learning fair. They did a couple of activities.   Happy New Year everyone!  Goodbye 2023! Welcome 2023! The year 2023 just went by so fast. I can still remember when I wrote my September blog - the Grade 3's were just starting the routine in the Grade 3. The continuous work, the tests, printing practices, mad minutes, and all other stuff. Now, four months had passed and the students are still trying to master their routine and they know what are the expectations required from them. I can say that they are indeed trying their best and that is what matters most.  As the new year begins, there will be new lessons, new challenges and of course new expectations. And this year they were told that they need to work double time because in eight months time, they will be in Grade 4.  In ELA, we are doing a lot of dictionary skills, finding words in the dictionary.                                                       HAPPY EARTH DAY!  WHAT IS EARTH DAY?  Earth Day is  an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations . The first Earth Day was held April 22, 1970.  It can be as simple as  teaching them how and what to recycle, replacing plastic bags with reusable tote bags, or only using reusable water bottles . Every time you do something that helps the Earth, involve them and explain exactly what you're doing. LET'S MAKE EVERY DAY EARTH DAY!  HELLO APRIL!  The Grade 3's are making sure that they are learning and doing the best that they can in every task given to them. As we welcome the new season, the Grade 3's are all working  like bees. This last term is very busy. We need to be focused and believed in our strengths.
